Jena presents itself at EXPO REAL

High-tech location at Europe's largest real estate and investment trade fair in Munich

The largest European trade fair for commercial real estate and investment, EXPO Real in Munich, is once again taking place with Jena's participation. Jena will be presenting itself as part of the joint stand of the Central German Metropolitan Region: from 7 - 9 October 2019, the Jena Economic Development Agency, the Department of Urban Development and Environment and the Jena Municipal Real Estate Company (KIJ) will be presenting current Jena development projects and investment opportunities. There will also be two specialist forums on site with Jena's participation: one on the topic of "CoWorking in C and D locations" and one on the topic of "Digital construction".

"Jena is the success location in Thuringia and Central Germany," says JenaWirtschaft Managing Director Wilfried Röpke. "Our dynamic and future-oriented city offers excellent investment opportunities, and we want to show this to decision-makers and trade fair visitors at Europe's most important commercial real estate trade fair."

Networking and exchange

More than 2,000 international companies, cities and regions will be exhibiting in Munich; the trade fair itself is expecting over 45,000 national and international guests. "This is a good basis for networking and exchanging ideas with investors as well as other municipal decision-makers and project managers," says Markus Henkenmeier from the Jena Economic Development Agency's business service. In Jena, numerous major projects are nearing completion, about to start construction or about to be awarded. These include the office complex on Steinweg, the development of Eichplatz and Inselplatz and the expansion of IT-Paradies. These developments are a positive signal for the growth location, particularly in view of the short supply of space and the high demand from many successful companies from Jena and the region.
