Jena presents itself at the EXPO Real

Investment location as guest at Europe's largest real estate and investor trade fair

From today, Jena will be presenting itself as a business location at EXPO Real in Munich. The largest European trade fair for commercial real estate will take place from October4 - 6, 2022. Jena is part of the joint stand of the Central German Metropolitan Region. Together, Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Jena mbH (JenaWirtschaft), the Department of Urban Development and Environment and Eigenbetrieb Kommunale Immobilien Jena (KIJ) will be presenting current Jena development projects and investment opportunities.

"Jena is the success location in Thuringia and Central Germany,"

said Christian Gerlitz, Mayor of Jena and Head of the Department for Urban Development and the Environment:

"Our dynamic and sustainable city offers excellent investment opportunities, and we want to show this to decision-makers and visitors at Europe's most important investment fair."

Even the coronavirus pandemic has not changed the high demand for commercial real estate in Jena.

With more than 1,200 international companies, cities and regions as well as a varied conference program, EXPO Real offers an ideal opportunity for networking. Markus Henkenmeier, Head of Business Services at the Jena Economic Development Agency , also appreciates this :

"We exchange ideas with investors:inside at the trade fair, but also with project managers and other municipal decision-makers. This input often provides exciting ideas for our city of light and at the same time we can present our urban projects and strategies to a broad specialist audience."

Beate Wachenbrunner, the new plant manager of the municipal real estate company Kommunale Immobilien Jena, will also be present in Munich:

"I'm looking forward to exchanging ideas with the experts. We are currently managing many major projects ourselves - from building planning to the marketing of land. Against the backdrop of the global issues of our time, it is very helpful to talk to other municipalities, to cooperate and to develop joint strategies."

The Central German Metropolitan Region with the city of Jena will be exhibiting in Hall C1, Stand 220.
