The industrial estate in Jena-Maua is growing. The latest newcomer is the family-run company WM SE, which operates throughout Europe. The company's core business includes trading in vehicle parts and accessories, tools and workshop equipment. A new sales building with a total of 2,000 square meters of warehouse and office space is being built on the Jena-Maua industrial estate on an area of around 5,000 square meters. The construction project began at the beginning of March with the official ground-breaking ceremony. Thenew store is due to open for businessin January 2023 and the company plans to hire 20 new employees.

"We are looking forward to further expanding our sales network with the new location in Jena and enabling our customers to benefit from optimum availability and delivery capacity,"

said Michael Hoppe, Managing Area Manager of WM SE.

"We chose the Jena site because we can drive forward our strategic orientation in a future-oriented manner here."

According to Michael Hoppe, in addition to the customer structure, the potential and infrastructural framework conditions for sales were also important. According to WM SE, it supplies over 130,000 customers every day and has more than 200 sales outlets in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic and the USA.

The Managing Director of the Jena Economic Development Agency is also delighted about the move to the Jena-Maua industrial estate:

"We welcome any company that maintains and expands local value chains on site and wish WM SE all the best for its new building."

The location in Jena-Maua is perfectly suited for such a project:

"Jena has all the prerequisites for successful distribution. The central location in central Germany, the good connection to the freeways - especially from the south of Jena - and of course the successful local companies."

So there is plenty of potential for a successful relocation to Jena-Maua.
